I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman
Interview
2 first round interviews: 1 competency and 1 case study
5 second round interviews: 1 panel case study, 1 one-to-one case study, and 3 competency/"fit" interviews
The "fit" interviews varied from being a structured walk through my CV, to more like a conversation
The panel case study: I was given a flipchart and some planning time, the interviewers then return to the room and I gave a short presentation, and was then asked follow up questions
The case studies were more structured than other interviews, and more like brain teasers centered on a business case than "blue sky" strategy case studies
it was smooth but you need to work hard on your calculations skills, i failed in this part of the case because the calculator is not allowed and i had not familiarize myself with it before the interview but overall it was a good experience
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
tell me about yourself, why consulting and the case question
Interviewers never attended on time. Rescheduled 7 times. Cases were easy relative to other firms. They dont take candidates very seriously so prepare for that. Personal questions include why OW?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (Zürich)
