RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Oliver Wyman full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
People are fun and nice to work with. Ok work life balance.
Cons
Performance system pretended to be scientific but too much judgement and external factors driving the appraisal.
Advice to Management
Use a simpler one!

Pros
Excellent people, challenging projects and opportunity to see many parts of the world/working cultures and teams
Cons
Long hours and travel commitments make it hard to sustain.
Oliver Wyman2018-06-14"Fast-growing firm"
StarStarStarStarStarPositive OutlookI have been working at Oliver Wyman full-time
Pros
Can quickly specialise in an industry or practice, often much more quickly than competitors. Other pros are common to Tier 1 & 2 management consulting firms in general (decent pay, prestige, exit opportunities, etc.)
Cons
Limited set of industries or practices to choose from in smaller offices. Other cons are common to the consulting industry.
Advice to Management
Step up the organised training to enable new joiners to be less reliant on on-the-job training. Keep working to increase transparency in setting expectations and targets to consultants.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Oliver Wyman full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
1. Very intelligent people 2, Regional/Global staffing -- meaning well travelled 3. Very good culture, fun group to hang out and travel together with (when I first joined)
Cons
1. Legacy OW could be too narrowly focussed on Financial Services - hard to get a more generalist view on business. 2. Consulting projects in FS such as banks these days are mostly defensive plays instead of more innovative topics 3. Challenging work life balance compared to MMB peers
Advice to Management
Listen to your people more, especially when it comes to venturing into emerging markets.

Doesn't RecommendNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Oliver Wyman full-time
Pros
-- opportunities to work on international projects and travel for training and offsites (also a chance to realise that other offices have it much better than us) -- you learn how to work hard -- pay is good. if you do it for anything, do it for the money
Cons
-- no concept of work/life balance...greedy partners exploit consultants to the max. All-nighters are common. No apologies for postponed and cancelled vacations -- staffers don't stand up for consultants -- most managers (maybe all but 2 or 3) are inept and create a lot of unnecessary work -- misogynistic...I felt sorry for my female colleagues -- vs. other consulting firms and even other OW offices, very... little investment in giving all consultants a chance to develop. Seems that managers pick their "pets" to develop + fast-track and everyone else gets left behind. Lots of politics
