Talent Acquisition call then HM call then a 2 hour Karat assessment where you have to go through a design document for an hour, have a 5 minute break, then have an hour to do some implementation. It said it was not a coding challenge but when you download the files, it says coding challenge. It says on the byte board site that it will save 2 hours' worth of interviews yet it took 2 hours 5 minutes, which is interesting. I should have taken the other complaints here more seriously as this was a huge waste of time for me given a generic rejection I got. You don't have enough time on either part of the assessment. Echoing others, for a company into mental health, this interview process is simply taking advantage of the saturated market by putting people through all of these hoops to jump through. The return on investment from taking a 2 hour assessment seems extremely low, and I recommend candidates pick a company with a better culture that values the time and health of their candidates. But for those who are fine or desperate with taking such an assessment to have a chance to interview some more, good luck to them.
