United has never discriminated age. I have been here 25 years and have see all walks of life join us. Many are older, retired, or all kids have left the nest. Just a note, always say you have no problem relocating and being on reserve. We cater to the business travelers so dress conservative. They like polished and classy applicants.

also very frustrated that I can not re apply until one year from my interview date

I had my interview Oct 4th 2012 in Houston group the one on one. After was advised to catch my flight home and would be advised of status in a weeks time. Still no response I realize I did not get the invite. Because when the tell you to plan to spend the day with them but after a 10 min interview your asked to leave the writing is on the wall....It would be nice for them to send out reasons for not being chosen I a nurse can handle many high stress situations but I am going to be 58 soon perhaps that was the down part.
