The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Columbus, OH) in Mar 2009
Interview
I applied for their internship position online. I got a call back a few weeks later with the hiring manager asking to set up a time for an interview. A week later I went in for the interview. She asked a lot of behavioral questions. She also asked questions like 'tell me about your most rewarding work experience.' I thought the interview went good. They told me they would call me in the middle of May, no matter what the outcome was. (To wait 2 months for a yes or no seemed excessive to me). I never received a call, so I called and spoke to the person who interviewed me. She rushed me off the phone saying she was late for a meeting, but took my information and said she would call me back. A week later I still hadn't heard from her so I called again just to hear her say they were 'going in another direction.' The lack of communication on her end in regards to my standing was pretty unprofessional.

Interview
I met with HR where they asked a few basic interview questions. At the end, I had to do a selling exercise of different items. It was overall laid back, and they wanted to get a sense of if I could interact with customers
