Was contacted by HR.HR was really professional, polite and explained the requirement accurately. They were expecting person with hands on in java , core java spring and good to have to basics of hibernate.
Interview was on a weekday and scheduled a week before.
Interviewer was clearly not aware of my technological expertise. He was not aware what HR had specified to me about the requirement. He was not giving a chance to answer or explain. As soon as he realized I knew answer,he switched to next question. It was more of rapid fire round. He repeatedly kept asking about technology(Hibernate advanced features) in which I did not have experience.I repeatedly say "No..No ..No" even explained to him I have no relevant experience in it.But he just got up and said you need to brush up your technologies and just left the room.
Also he was quite rude and unprofessional.
Never ever in my entire career I came across this kind of interview.Rather than being disappointed ..I was furious as was being judged for totally different requirement than my experience !
HR/Interviewer should really understand the efforts candidate goes through to attend the interview. Interviewer should clearly know what was communicated to candidate and what is his expertise.Rejecting on basis of not meeting expectations on relevant technologies is fine. But not this.
Make sure you are very clear about requirement and is the interviewer and HR in sync.
