I applied online. I interviewed at Napco Security in Jun 2026
Interview
Got to be on-site interview at Amytiville. The site seems to be a warehouse with inventories going in and out. Got a peek at the offices and it looked like dorm crammed with lots of people inside. There were like 4-5 people in tiny desks inside a room. Didn't feel like a proper place to work like other modern offices with amply workstation, chair, and work space. The facilities looked like old, anticuated, and never bothered to do any renovation ever in their lifetime. While other places attract talent thru worksite benefits, and good environment to work at. This one clearly misses the point by miles. The interview was pretty much standard with HR, hiring manager, couple of people asking technical background on circuits, serial communication, etc. Pretty basic and straightforward...
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Napco Security (Amityville, NY) in Oct 2023
Interview
Phone screen with hiring manager then two rounds of technical interviews. Interviews are in person at their long island office and the job is not remote and requires a background check in the final stages.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Napco Security (Copiague, NY) in Feb 2020
Interview
First is a call from human resources, a designated person who does the recruiting. A scheduled phone screen in the following days with the hiring manager. Next would have been an in-person interview, did not get that far, see below.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
All they cared about is where I live, they couldn't understand why someone would want to look for work on Long Island.
