On campus recruiting event with a team exercise and an extremely long IQ/Math test.
Passed the test, was contacted a month later with an e mail saying that i would be contacted for a coaching session to prepare for the interviews. That happened quite a while later..
After a little over a month later, i was told that I would have both the first and the second round of interviews on the same day.
On the day, I was told that not all the consultants could make it to Egypt, and so it would only be the first round that day, with the second round to be decided.
The first round was made up of two one-on-one interviews, both with a little personality and behavioral questions, and then a case study.
after the interviews, I was asked to stay in the room of the second interview, and a little over a half hour later, I was told I had passed the first round and the second round would be 2 weeks later.
A week after that, I was sent an e mail changing the time of the second round.
The second round was also 2 one on one interviews, but with more senior consultants. They were more cases in number, but they were easier to solve-or faster.
On leaving I asked HR when they would get back to me, I was told they didn't know, and it was her first time to do this.
I was called two of weeks later -by HR- to be told that I was rejected, and that she would call again with feedback. She didnt. I e mailed her asking for feedback, and was told the interviewers would call me. They didnt.
Although the process was very ill-organised, I would still re-apply to Mckinsey, apart from HR, the people there are amazing.
