Initial interview was three questions about your previous qualifications and experiences , why Marriott and why do you want to join the hospitality industry. Interview overall was not too difficult, they mainly want to examine your background and why you decided to pursue a career in the hospitality industry.

When was the moment you decided to pursue a career in hospitality?
First there was a preliminary multiple choice questionnaire to test your management instincts. Then you get invited for a “STAR” style zoom interview. Plan some answers to sample questions in advance and you’ll do great. Interviewer was kind and personable.

Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult guest?
The interview process had three steps. The first step was a one way video interview, second was a virtual interview with a HR Manager and the final was a phone call with the HR director where they provided an offer.
First you must complete an online assessment after submitting your resume. You then onto a zoom interview which involves many questions to be answered in STAR format. During the zoom interview they will verify your location and department preferences with you. I received an offer two weeks after the final interview.
