I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Lifetime Assistance in Feb 2026
Interview
I had two interviews, including one with site management who were great and stated they wanted to hire me. However, the staffing recruiter, Asia was incredibly difficult to work with. Despite being a grad student in a Mental Health Master’s program with total schedule flexibility, she repeatedly tried to pressure me into a Per Diem role instead of the Part-Time position I applied for. After a month of me being proactive and following up, I was told I was a "great fit" but that the current training was "closed” and was being lectured about how important staff meetings are. That was over five weeks ago, and despite her promise to reach out about the next training while simultaneously not sending me paperwork to keep the process going, I have been completely ghosted. They are losing qualified clinical candidates because HR is gatekeeping roles and failing at basic communication. If management wants to hire someone, HR shouldn't be the bottleneck that prevents it.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lifetime Assistance (Brockport, NY) in May 2018
Interview
Interview with Human Resources first, then you go to the residence and meet the people who live there that you will be supporting and interview with residential managers. Might have the option to interview at several different residences.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Lifetime Assistance (North Chili, NY)
Interview
I applied to lifetime assistance and within a week or two I got a call asking if I could come in for an interview. I came in, filled out a survey that I watched when I applied for the position, and reviewed my application. Afterwards I met the lady that interviewed me. She was very nice. She asked me a few questions, previous work experience, and if I had any experience in this field. Then she called a lifetime assistance home to see if I could do a home visiting to make sure I was a good fit for the place. The next day I did my site visit, it took about 30 minutes. At the site visit I met with the residents and other community living instructors. The next day I got a call from the lady that interviewed me and said I was on their top list of who they wanted and asked if I would take the job. Of course I accepted :) the interview process took about 1 hour including the waiting and survey. It was a quick response.
