Simple. Basic questions about background and expectations. Not a deep dive. Panel approach to interviewing new employees. Relaxed and friendly. Positive experience. A bit long on decision making.

Interview
This was a lateral hire so it was mostly just an HR hire. However, prior to the HR hire, the Division head had a conversational interview with me to evaluate fit with the organizational scientific mission.

-- What major scientific achievements do you have prior to this in last 3-5 years? -- What are your goals in the next 3 years? -- Was there any time you had to disagree with a team member ot superior and how did you handle it?

Interview
They first gave a brief introduction on who they are, what they are doing and what equipment they have. Then then asked me to describe what have I done in the past. Lastly, they asked me if I have any questions. The whole process lasted for about 25 minutes. No surprise.
