Walk-in and had a very smooth interview process with the manager during 2019. They offered me a part time role but shift schedule was full time due to peak period.
The process took 2 days. I interviewed at L'Occitane in Apr 2010
Interview
If you have a skincare/cosmetic store background, you'll do fine. Most of the interview questions consists of your basic retail "what would you do"s and "has there ever been a time"s. Remember, the customer is ALWAYS right!
Now skincare...as long as you show genuine interest in your our hygiene, skincare, ingredients, and their sustainability, (and show your support for "no testing on animals!" cus theyre that kind of company. First and first most, its always good to read up on their best sellers if you dont normally use loccitane products (I happen to LOVE loccitane, so it was fairly natural for me to talk about products), JUST in case.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at L'Occitane (Vancouver, BC)
Interview
- Rather long and arduous process
- Long interview questions
- was expected to write to email manager some additional interview questions
- Phone interview first and person interview after
- Manager was rather nice and welcoming, she was very understanding and accommodating but did expect me to work more than 15 hours (company policy for part-timers)
- Manager asked a lot of questions (perhaps almost an hour long for me because I did not do a phone interview)
- Interview was harder than most retail positions I have had as they asked very specific questions that reflected my work ethics and character
