The interview process had three phases: recruiter interview, hiring manager interview, followed by developing and delivering a technical presentation to a panel, followed by round-robin behavioral interviewing questions. I spent 20 hours researching the topic, writing the presentation, creating a slide deck, and rehearsing it to ensure the length was 20 minutes. The presentation went very well. I received good feedback. Some panel members stayed beyond the allotted time to answer my questions, which is usually a good indicator. After about 10 days, I received an empathic call from the very professional recruiter explaining that I did not get the job.
