I have been asked to complete a coding assessment in a language mentioned in the job posting. They said the applications with solution written in those languages will have priority for the next steps

Submitted application, online cognitive test and then spoke to their talent acquisitions partner on the phone. She described the position and then indicated that I would be receiving an email to coordinate an interview with the mentor from the team. After several days pass and no word, I followed up over email and received no response. My online status said "Interviews". Several days after that I was unable to reach their acquisitions partner on the phone and my status was updated to no longer under consideration. When people are looking for work it is unprofessional and inconsiderate to put them through false hope.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at IBM in Apr 2023
Interview
It is extremely difficult to get an interview or a response from anyone on the recruiting team without having a contact at IBM. I had one interview with a great team but outside of that team there has been poor communication with the recruitment team.

It was the second interview. The interviewer didn't even turn the camera on. I was asked a lot of technical questions about Java language that was a little unexpected for me. In my resume the primary language was JavaScript. But I was okay with Java too. So be prepared.
