I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at H&M (Sydney) in Oct 2017
Interview
Arrive and submit your application form (with your availability, where you'd like to work, details, referees) + other ID photocopy + resume copy. The HR admin looks over your form, double checks your availability and might suggest more stores that you could work at depending on where you live. Then you get a coloured ribbon to identify you and you go in another room.
There were 10 of us outside but they split us into 2 groups. So my group interview was with 5 people including myself. There were three interviewers who were really nice, everything was comfortable and easy. They don't know your names and they probably won't even after you've introduced yourself but it's okay because of the ribbons.
Watched a video about H&M's values. Then we all introduced ourselves and why we were dressed they way we were that day + why we wanted to work at H&M. Then we had 5 scenario-ish questions and we had to go over and discuss as a group. Only 5 of us so everyone was able to contribute, and the interviewers listened carefully throughout in the background. After discussion, we were asked to stand in front of everyone and individually present an answer to each of those questions.
Then we had to pretend to set up a rail of clothes, come up with a concept and name and a target audience.

Interview
I interviewed for H&M Sydney. The process was very relaxed and enjoyable. I actually really liked all the staff and interviewers. First, you play a little game where everybody stands in a circle and a red yarn ball is thrown around the room. When you receive the ball, you must: (1) introduce yourself, (2) explain why you chose your oufit, and (3) why you applied for H&M. One person wore business attire when the email asked candidates to 'Come dressed as you would if working in a H&M store! We encourage individual style and comfort'. Some people said they applied for H&M because they needed a job. Don't do this! Try to have some genuine reasons and incorporate research that you have conducted about the company into your answer. Next task was a group task, where they give you a question/dilemma and ask you to work through it in a group. The dilemma will relate to one of H&M's values. H&M values teamwork so make sure you are contributing but also letting other people talk within the group. The managers will be watching. Then you present as a group your findings. Make sure you use this oppurtunity to show what you know about the brand's values. At the end, everybody is given the chance to ask questions. Make sure you ask a question that shows your interest in the role.

Question 1
Why did you choose your particular outfit? Why did you apply for H&M? If you noticed that your manager was making mistakes, what would you do?

Interview
I only had to attend one interview which was a group interview. I was honestly pretty nervous going in but I found the interviewers were really nice and the interview in general was pretty relaxed. Positive experience over all.
