I applied to H&M about a month ago after the store I work at got a drastic hours cut, forcing me to look for another job in retail. A couple of weeks after I submitted my Resume and application I got a call to do a phone interview. It was very general questions, including what is my work experience, how much do I expect to get paid, availability, etc. I was invited back for an interview the following week. It was a one-on-one interview with a manager and she asked me questions about customer service, conflict resolution, and multi-tasking on the job. I gave specific examples and used my retail background to my advantage. She told me about opportunities, benefits, and bonuses within the company, which made me very excited. It lasted about 45 minutes and I felt confident about it, though I knew they had several interviews later that day. She told me I would get a call or e-mail from them in 3-5 days, and 4 days after I got a call for a second interview. Whenever I went in she asked me if I had any questions and then offered me the job, and said I would be contacted further for training. I recommend to anyone interviewing for this position or higher to have a detailed knowledge of the company and the position you applied for, because you will be asked questions about them. Also, I wasn't sure how to dress but I dressed business-casual and spruced it up with some fun shoes and accessories, which seemed to go over well.
