I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Givebutter
Interview
The epitome of a bad interview process. 6 total rounds which is masked by saying "we value finding the perfect fit." All went well enough, then a surprise final round came with a new director. I made it to the references stage and they reached out to at least one of my references, I did a self-review, and they even contacted me to discuss something on my self-review. Two days later, a generic email template rejection. I asked for feedback and none was given. almost 5 weeks plus at least 12 hours of hard prep for nothing.
Everyone was really nice during the process. The recruiter was great, but the candidate experience couldn't have been worse.

Interview
Typical recruiter screening which I thought was a good conversation but they seem to be very choosey on who they hire which isnt a bad thing - Better luck next time?

Interview
I did the Phone Interview and Hiring manager interview, The manager told me the next rounds, which included multiple technical rounds and a "values" interview. I am pretty happy they did not move me forward. The first reason is they seemed pretentious, 2nd is they seemed like they were going to ride you if you don't vibe code enough. The final reason, in my experience any company that has an excessive amount of interviews have only wasted my time and energy.
