I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at General Mills (Wellston, OH) in Dec 2009
Interview
I started out by talking to a recuriter that had an opening for a maintenance supervisor at a Fortune 500 company in the Food and Beverage Industy. All the recuriter was really just to eliminate people that didn't want to work in that part of ohio and who didn't have a degree or experence in maintenance. They passed on my information to General Mills and set up a phone interview a couple days later.
About a week later I got a phone call from the HR Manager and she me about the job and then started the interview.
asks how you handle difficult people and to provide specific examples.
asks if you are open to shifts and relocation
asks challenges faced
she only asked one or two questions about my resume.
She didn't ask any questions about maintenance that I thought might pertain to the job.
Advise I would give:
They probably have a hard time finding qualified canidates that want to work that part of ohio. The recuriter made a big deal about it and so did the HR Lady. SO if your interviewing express some interest in the there location.
