I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Foot Locker (Virginia Beach, VA) in Jun 2015
Interview
I wanted this job since March and finally got the interview in June. At first there was an issue with my original application, so I had to resend it under a different email. Had to constantly call the manager for an interview date. Dressed urbanly with my freshest pair of kicks on. For the interview I related back on majority of my experience as a team member in a fast food restaurant and got the job.
I applied online and got a phone call a week later to do the in person interview. In person I had to visit the store and ask for the manager that contacted me.
It was 10-15 minutes. Went pretty easy. They asked about me random questions and then told me about the job. The interviewer was nice and told me not to worry and that it is just general things.
The interview was quick and easy. They asked basic sales-related questions and just wanted to make sure you would be pleasant and helpful. No in-depth shoe knowledge is necessary. Not for you if you want to be a laid back sales person.
