Interview
I applied to kid's footlocker and got a call about 2 weeks later. the funny thing is, i missed the call and tried to call back and they wouldn't answer, so i waited like 10 mins and they finally answered. they told me i had to attend a job fair in a week to start the hiring process. when the day came i dressed in a nice collared shirt with like capri dress pants, a belt and some sperry's that matched (:. they told me to go to where i applied and they would direct me where to go. so i went to the food court and found a bunch of footlocker employees. they had me sign in at the normal foot locker (ugh) and return to them. little did i know that this was a group interview lol. i was kinda happy that it was a group but then again i thought it would be more professional than that. there was 6 of us with two employees asking questions like off the top of their heads. i atleast thought they would be dressed nice but they were just wearing their uniforms. the main guy seemed like he didn't even want to be there but he wasnt like rude. the other interviewees werent prepared at all and weren't even dressed nice. they kept talking about shoes in every answer and it was annoying. i was the only one that brought a resume so that was a plus. i'm actually an athlete so that's a plus. i know about basketball & basketball shoes so that was a big plus. i could tell they liked me. there was over 100 people interviewing that day too. the big thing with them is basketball appearl and shoes, so if you know your basketball shoes, that is much more useful than just being sneakerhead who doesn't even play sports. i actually came on here to read about peoples experiences before my interview, so i knee there was a possibility of a group interview and i knew had already thought about some of the questions they had asked. i wasn't hard at all because one, they weren't old people except the one guy. there were both men and women interviewers and they weren't even professional themselves. bring your resume on resume paper if you can. sit professionally and not slumped over. smile!! also wear something that isn't boring. they all complemented my outfit so i figure i already had an edge(my pants were polkadots). ALOT of people are applying for the same job so stand out!!
