I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (San Mateo, CA) in Apr 2015
Interview
The initial phone interview lasted about 10 minutes and was very friendly and brief. The second phone interview lasted about 30 minutes and covered more in-depth questions about experience and interest in Fisher Investments. The last phone interview was with a Manager within the department and covered very specific questions about the position. Last was an in-person interview on-site at their offices. The interview last approximately 2 hours with very specific questions about the your experience and how they would be applied in certain situations or scenarios.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2025
Interview
I went through a screening interview, and I decided not to proceed further. While the benefits were outstanding, several red flags came up. They do not understand recruiting is a 2-way street, and I am equally interviewing them as they interview me. Interviewer asked questions like "have you worked in financial services?" which indicated lack of preparation -- it was on the resume. I'm fine with being in office, but they gave it all of the allure of high school detention. They stressed their protracted decision process because they had so many good applicants, but failed to consider I am nearing the end of my search and am fielding offers. There was no chance to ask questions at the end of the interview. I had many.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Vancouver, WA) in Dec 2021
Interview
Recruiter, background check. 4 different groups of Employee interviews. Got offered the job informally over the phone, didn’t send offer letter. I said I would talk to family because it was 50 hour work weeks expected. Didn’t receive any call backs on my decision or a formal offer letter. Passed on the job.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Camas, WA) in Feb 2018
Interview
I applied for the job, attending a networking event and then was called back a few days later. The HR process is disorganized and the people in the HR department obviously do not compare notes. After talking to several people in HR and being forwarded to multiple peoples voicemail then I finally got a callback. It was obvious by the questions that the person has not even looked at my resume at all.
