I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Camas, WA) in Mar 2016
Interview
Easily the worst interview process I have ever been through in my life. My first interview was a phone pre-screen. Lots of getting to know you questions regarding your resume, experience, and interest for the firm. I was told I would be reached out to again within 2 weeks, but had to wait a month before hearing that I was going to come into the office physically.
After hearing they wanted me to come in, I waited ANOTHER month until they flew me out to Camas, WA. When I arrived, they had already set up a hotel and car rental and everything. I had a total of 4 interviews from several of my top choice departments. They all went great. At this point I was told that I would be reached out to within 1.5-2 weeks by the man who coordinated everything and did my phone screen.
I call after 3 weeks go by, and am told that I am at the "top of the list" in terms of candidacy. I am told by him that I received positive feedback from every one of the groups that interviewed me, which is extremely promising.
Another 4 weeks go by. I reach out to the person who was in charge of organizing everything, and he is nowhere to be found. I leave a voicemail and an email, with no response.
Finally get a response a whopping week later from someone I had never even heard of in my life before, indicating they unfortunately do not wish to move forward with my candidacy. When I asked for feedback regarding this, she claimed that was against company policy and that not even all departments are currently hiring.
I feel like I was utterly led on by this entire process. I could have easily secured another position in the timespan that I was hopeful I would receive at least one offer from this firm. The whole process was a joke. If they treat potential employees this badly, it makes you wonder how they treat the people who actually work there. Pretty frustrated at the fact that my main point of contact didn't even have the guts to speak to me, but asked someone else to let me down for him. Maybe because he knew that he led me on severely for a whopping THREE MONTH PERIOD.

Question 1
basic questions that don't even measure your skill level. All they're looking for is young people for sales positions. If you're not one of these consider yourself out.
I enjoyed the process but also no idea where it’s going. Excited to see what happens and hoping for a good result. Also I need to write 30 words I guess

Interview
Don’t apply. The only entry position is client service associate which is basically busy work nobody wants to do. They respond to your application quickly because HR is measured by success on how many interviews they do. So they literally interview knowing that they aren’t going to hire. That’s why they always have job openings listed on their website. So they can keep HR busy. The firm has no flexibility. 50 hours of busy work if you do take the job. The process consists of a phone screening then round robin with multiple teams claiming they have open positions but again they only hire CSA for new hires. Questions are all normal behavioral and really easy but hiring is really dependent on if enough people have quit recently that they need bodies.

The overall interview process was pretty lengthy. For starters, you aren’t applying for the “Investment Associate” role but rather multiple roles that the company thinks you’d fit in well with. First you meet with a recruiter, then you meet with multiple hiring managers, then a debrief with a recruiter about your experience, and then back to one of the hiring managers, and finally culminating with a Vice President or “higher-up.” All this being said, everyone was very polite and welcoming throughout the process. Interview questions were standard behavioral questions with a few random ones mixed in. Expect the whole process to take at least a month from start to finish.
