Application
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments in Mar 2011
Interview
I was first contacted via phone to complete a phone interview, which went pretty well. The recruiter I worked with felt that I had potential and gave me immediate feedback at the end of my phone interview before extending an offer for a face to face interview. Once I completed my face to face interview I was thanked for my time and contacted maybe a week or two later with an emailed offer letter. In the offer letter I also had to schedule a drug test and submit information for a background check and the offer was contingent upon successful completion of both.

Question 1
I had the advantage of knowing someone who had just undergone the same interview process with Fidelity who helped me prepare, so nothing unexpected occurred for me personally. They asked the basic behavioral-based questions. "Tell me about a time when..." "How did you handle a situation when..."
Very long process. Took about four months for the whole process to be complete. With phone interviews then face to interviews. Background check, credit check, fingerprints. Started the process in April, job started in August.

Interview
i had two phone interviews and one face to face. They have different people each time but they ask the same questions over and over, I gave mostly the same answers. They want you to succeed so when the initial contact tells you to educate yourself on the company you better do it. Go to the website and look over their history, values, the CEO, etc. know your stuff and you'll move up to the next interview

Interview
They put 2 managers to almost set up interview interrogation style. Goal is for them to play good cop-bad cop and to test your honesty and integrity since you would be working in a company that handles thousands of social security numbers.
