Process took over 4 months from initial application. Phone interview occurred approx 2 weeks after application, basic questions and indication of progression to face-to-face interview with associate directors. Face-to-face held one week later. Indicated at end of this interview that I would progress to partner interview the following month. Partner interview held approx 3 weeks later. Indicated during this interview that I would receive an outcome by the end of following week. Despite numerous follow ups I did not receive an outcome until over two months later. Feedback was that I performed strongly but nonetheless did not receive position due to better qualified and more experienced candidate being offered the position (it was later revealed that the successful candidate was hired in at a higher level than that which was being advertised). I found the tail end of this experience highly unprofessional. The recruiter did not return calls or emails, and the firm consistently breached its own self-imposed deadlines for providing a response. No excuse for keeping a candidate waiting over 10 weeks to receive a response that ought to have been evident immediately after all candidates were interviewed.
