I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Deloitte (New York, NY) in Feb 2012
Interview
The 1st round was a phone interview with a recruiter. It is just general questions to chat about your background, your strength and weakness, why Deloitte, etc. The 2nd round was in-person interviews with two partners, each half an hour. It chat about your resume, your competencies to the job.
It was an on campus placement interview, they mostly asked about my CV and personal achievements. Some questions were regarding basics of accounting like principles of accounting and treatment of depreciation and other items in all 3 statements.

Question 1
about my prior internship experience and how i developed myself through it.
5 rounds of interview - 1 HR, 2 technical, 1 Versant (english understanding and communication) & 1 Partner. Partner round can be technical or general depending upon your partner. Questions can range from "why audit" to core accounting and auditing questions
the interview was very conversational. entry level position is not technical at all but you should bring in experience anyways. didn’t get the position but interviewers seemed very laid back and were probably taking the interview from their phone
