Sales Director was completely unprepared and uninterested in the interview. He hadn’t looked at my resume prior to the interview and could not have been more cold and rude. He made me uncomfortable and I should’ve stopped the interview but I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt.
The questions he asked were completely off the cuff and it wasn’t conversational or leading in any direction.
I’m still confused as to why I was brought in for an interview; although, it was scheduled through a recruiter. What I do know for sure, the sales director was not the person who decided to bring me in for an interview.
HR and sales need to get on the same page, so as not to waste people’s time and give the company a bad reputation.
