Q2: Gimme an example of a problem associated with your major that you need to solve and where your initial approach failed. What was the problem? What was your initial solution and the outcome? How did you feel when you initially failed? What were your alternative solutions and how successful were they? What insights did you gain about yourself that will be of value in a leadership role? Q3: Give an example of when you lead a group through a challenging situation. What was the situation? What steps did you take to become an effective group leader? What obstacles did you overcome? How did you handle a non-cooperative group member? What was the outcome? What did you learn about yourself as a leader? Q4: Projects need to be completed on time and on budget. Describe a time when you were fully accountable for managing a project or piece of work. What was the task? How did you plan your time? How did you overcome those constraints? Q5: A good idea/suggestion can sometimes be met with opposition. Please describe a recent situation where you had to deal with resistance to an idea you presented. What was the resistance? How did you deal with it? Was your idea/suggestion finally accepted? If not, why not? What did you learn from this experience? Q6: Gimme an example of a situation when you received feedback that you thought was unfair. What was the situation? Why did you feel the feedback was unfair? What was the outcome? What would you do differently with the feedback you were given? What did you learn about giving and receiving feedback? Q7: Tell me why you choose your degree major. What factors did you consider? What about your current program do you find really interesting? Which parts of your course do you find the most difficult? What actions do you take to complete tasks you do particularly don't enjoy? Q8: What do you know about our company, our competition, and our industry as a whole? Q9: Finally, tell me anything else about yourself that you think is relevant to your application. (Whew! It was a long battle!)
