Submit CV and CL, four Sova online tests, first round interview consisting of three interviews and same for second round I believe.
I got to the first round interview stage, seemed a little disorganised and rushed if I'm honest, and the process actually booking the interview could have been so much more streamlined and efficient, quite ironic how ridiculous that is considering the firm. Anyway, first round interview consisted of a behavioural/fit interview, market sizing, and a case study. All different interviewers.
The behavioural interview is standardised across candidates and was typical "describe a time when" or "if you were working at Bain and x happened" questions and bits of discussion where the interviewer wanted. Nice, friendly, comfortable chat. Interviewer was great.
Market sizing interview, again quite discursive but obviously you lead most of it. I thought the question was stupid "Estimate the annual revenue of the Natural History Museum". When I laid out my structure, I was essentially told to include ticket sales for all visitors having discounted that because its actually free. But otherwise we went through it, interviewer was nice and engaged with me. Spent the last 10 minutes challenging my assumptions and asking what I thought about the main drivers.
Last was case interview, the least said about this the better. Had a different interviewer step in at last minute and we just didn't click or get on at all. Wasn't friendly, seemed disinterested, and just got up and walked out once we got to the end of the questions he had to ask. All the vibes coming off him were the wrong kind of vibes, "I'm better than you, I don't really want to be doing this but I have to". Not ideal but oh well, case itself was reasonably simple, with lots of scope to do be a bit creative and differentiate yourself. I unfortunately wasn't able to and was thrown off by the friction with the interviewer.
