I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bain & Company (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Apr 2018
Interview
The interview process at Bain was a great experience for me. I reached the office in Cyberhub, Gurgaon and found myself amongst a group of 18 including MBAs, Analysts and those with much more experience than me.
The process began when two smart women came and gave an introduction presentation to the group.
Note: It is very important to understand the Job description and ask any questions if you have at this point.
Next, there was a written round where we were given some data of some company and were supposed to point out the errors and write about it.
Note: Each round is elimination and after this one only 14 of us were remaining.
Further, we went in for the personal interview with the team leader. This round includes the obvious interview questions, about your previous experience, why Bain, why this profile along with 1 or 2 guesstimate questions. It is easy to attempt if you have prior practice.
Note: After this round 7 were left.
This was followed by another round of personal interview with a team member. Same interview questions.
Note: At the end of this interview I found myself with just one more candidate and there were further rounds of interview remaining.
I was again called in for an interview by the Manager who asked me more questions about my current job. When asked for a feedback, she was kind enough to point out what I could have done better.
As soon as I got back to the conference room, the HR told me that I wasn't selected for further rounds and that the last candidate still had a few rounds to attend.
Overall, it was a good experience. The process was smooth and people were very nice and helpful. It is understandable that they would recruit only the creme. They did prove to me that if one has the talent and skills that they are looking for, they would take you up irrespective of your background.
Final note: If you go for an interview in or near Cyberhub, DON'T park your car in their parking as they charge 100₹/hr

Simple and straightforward. remember the CV and guesstimates are crucial. for example- guesstimate the number of tea cups sold in India in one year. there are 2 interview rounds, one with a partner the other with an employee having 4-5 years of experience.
