      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BPM-PR (New York, NY) in Jun 2018

      Interview

The interview process was a bit long but it was worth it. There was a a pre screening, a qualifications test and then a larger interview with the senior team members. The total process took about 2 weeks from their first call to me being hired.

      Application

      Interview

I had a horrible experience with the owner. My time was wasted, my background was falsely criticized, and I was sent multiple emails from the owner and her lawyer after writing a review of my experience a year back online. I will never do business with this company, or recommend it if someone asked me. A few people have asked me about Beautiful Planning Marketing & PR services after finding the company online. I refused to comment, or provide recommendation when asked. I was also asked, to never write an online review on the company again or they would consider legal action (Completely against my first amendment right). The request came from a very demanding letter from the owner's lawyer. In my opinion, this action says a lot about the owner and the character of the entire company. Everything during my interview was handled very unprofessionally and aggressively in my opinion. Public Relations is about relationship building, professionalism, being kind, and treating people with respect to maintain strong credibility and provide the best results to our clients. I am glad I never received an offer, or took a job with this firm.

Dear Applicant- No responsible attorney within the United States would send any notice that was against your first amendment rights. If you were sent a notice by our firm's attorney then there was just cause. As a PR firm we certainly believe in first amendment rights so that accusation is 100% incorrect. We welcome reviews of all kinds. The only time our or any attorney would send such a notice is if there had been repeated harassment, reviews are false, or inaccurately slanderous behavior opening the reviewer up to libel. When hiring at BPM-PR we ensure that all candidates are measured on a 23 point checklist. It is important that they have the knowledge that matches the experience stated on their resume. If an applicant shows general lack of knowledge or skill that does not match the level they have applied for we do end an interview at the point of discovery. Our staff is trained 100% to behave in an appropriate manner at all times. Like all interviews- You had two people within your interview and there was not any aggressive behavior behind the scenes. Your interview was ended once it was determined that you were not yet qualified for the level you had applied for and you were told why in a kind manner as to not waste your time. We understand the upset this could cause when hoping to land a position within the PR field and wish you the best of luck in your PR career.
