      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Autodesk (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2018

      Interview

I got an email from Autodesk for the above position. First one was a phone call by the HR and had asked 3 questions should say pretty basic. But, the HR was like in a dubious state throughout the call. Do know what was running in her mind. She scheduled an with the hiring manager but did not send any confirmation mail for the same. The technical interview when very well (According to me) but they did not reply since. Its been 2 weeks till day.

      Junior Project Manager Interview

      13 May 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Rafael, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Autodesk (San Rafael, CA) in Sept 2018

      Interview

I applied and the following day was contacted to phone screen. The recruiter missed our scheduled call, so we rescheduled, to which she missed it AGAIN. I gave her the benefit of the doubt both times and was courteous but she never took responsibility or apologized for missing our calls. She finally contacted me explaining that the role I applied to was on hold, and she would interview me for a different role if I was interested. I finally got on the phone with her to phone screen for Job B and she proceeded to interview me for 30 min. At the end of the call, she explained the job I applied to was still on hold, and it became aware she had been interviewing me for the original job I had applied to the entire time. She claimed they were similar, but they definitely were not, and I felt I didn't have a chance to highlight some of the experiences I felt were better fit to the role I was actually applying to. I never heard from her again. I emailed her and thanked her for her time after the interview, and then followed up a week later, and my second email to her received a return notice indicating that she had blocked me. The entire experience was extremely unprofessional, and frankly rude. I've never had a recruiter treat me this way, and felt the recruiter was misleading, and hurt my overall chances. I'm not sure why she never followed up with me, or why she blocked me from emailing her after only 1 follow up. I thought maybe she had left the company, but according to LinkedIn, she's still recruiting there. I was really excited about Autodesk, but this horrible candidate experience completely soured my opinion of the company.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your interview. A great candidate experience is important to us; so much so that in recent months, all recruiters have gone through in-depth training to make sure that they’re recruiting at the highest level. We’ve shared your feedback with the talent acquisition team so this experience doesn’t happen again.
