      User Experience Designer Interview

      3 Apr 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Mountain View, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Arm (Mountain View, CA) in Mar 2019

      Interview

I interviewed for the full-time UX Designer role at treasure data. The whole process took 2 weeks, a phone interview of portfolio review, followed by a design challenge and an onsite. The onsite has 3 rounds, a co-design session about the previous design challenge, a whiteboard session and another round with a PM. Overall, it was the best interview experience I had after 20+ interviews. I talked to the Director of Design, who has been incredibly patient and nice and gave me a lot of advice on my design skills. The whole UX team was energetic, vibrant and fun, I've never seen a team like it. It seems like anybody can fit right in.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Arm (Cambridge, England)

      Interview

The interviewers were very professional, polite and knowledgeable, so my main gripe is with the recruitment process. There was little to no comms during the process. No feedback on how well I'd done. No rejection email. Just bare minimum effort on behalf of the Talent Acquisition dept. Its not a case of sour grapes, its just unprofessional. The interview itself was conversational but difficult at times. They made me feel very comfortable.

Thank you for your review and for interviewing at ARM. ARM strive to have continuous communication throughout the recruitment process and I apologise if you felt like there was a lack of communication between you and TA. Whilst I do not know specific details of your application or interview, the TA team do try to communicate information when they have it. That being said, you should have received an email explaining that ARM had decided not to advance you to the next stage, and I apologise that you did not receive one. However, I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the interview process and felt comfortable throughout it. ARM are always trying to improve our candidate experience, and will take your feedback seriously as we continue to make changes and improvements. – Yvette S.
