The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Apple in Oct 2010
Interview
Went through a large group interview where we watched two films from Apple. There was some Q&A about the video as well as general Apple history. We were then told to get to know the person next to us and were supposed to introduce them to the other interviewees (what they did, why they wanted to work for Apple). We then split into small groups and were asked personality and customer-service type questions.
After that group interview, I got a call for a 1-to-1 interview between myself and two managers. It was held at the local bookstore. More personality questions (why Apple, why you, customer service examples?) and Q&A from them and myself.
Next was an interview with the store manager and another manager who was filling in for the regional manager. Curiously, I was interviewed with another candidate and we were both asked the same questions.
Got a call a few days later with a job offer.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Apple (New York, NY) in Jan 2023
Interview
We were interviewed in a group setting as a "conversation". It was difficult to get a word in as one of the interviewees took over every questions. They should try to give each person a chance to speak.

Question 1
What is your favorite apple product? How do you respond when a friend or family member critiques and apple product?
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Apple (Houston, TX)
Interview
The hiring process was rather quick for myself, however I have seen the process take a while for many others as well. It is incredibly difficult to get into the job if you don't fit the current culture of that store.

Question 1
Nothing stood out, but if I had to choose one it would be, How long do you plan to be with the company?
Arduous process. Lengthy. Expect multiple interviews, beginning with a phone or Face Time interview with a recruiter that asks you scenario questions. Then, you move on to the store interview, and prepare for a panel. They are more interested if you "fit in." The process can drag on, and if you're lucky, you get a second interview and maybe a third and maybe a job.

Question 1
"Tell us about a time when you delivered world-class customer service, and another time when you failed to meet the customer's expectations."
