I applied through university. I interviewed at Amgen (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2018
Interview
Applied to Amgen online, and received the phone interview invitation in about two to three weeks. The interview process took around 30 minutes and was consisted of mainly behavioral questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What would you do if you do not have enough time to finish your current project/work?
First had a 1:1 with the team lead, where we talked basics and discussed the role. It was mostly to make sure I understand the terms of the role (contracted). Then moved onto the second round immediately and it was a large group interview. Most questions were fair but one extremely higher up person kept asking scientific questions irrelevant to the role and making comments about my experience that clearly showed he did not read my resume.
It was an initial phone screening, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. The interviewer did not ask a lot of questions about my resume but instead asked technical questions.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amgen (Singapore) in Sept 2023
Interview
HR interview first round screening does not truely assess interviewee's potential. Interviewer asked technical questions in which answers given was apparently too technical for interviewer to understand. Interview felt very rushed and as an interviewee, I couldn't get much out of it.
