I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at American Express (Salt Lake City, UT) in Jan 2010
Interview
The interview process was pretty basic. I did have to plan or prepare much at all. I was called by a staffing agency notifying me of the job and asking if I'd be interested in interviewing. I was then contacted by a native German speaking working at Amex who called to initially screen me for how well my German speaking fluency was. I then interviewed with the recruiting manager as well as the German speaking worker I talked to on the phone.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at American Express (Scottsdale, AZ) in May 2019
Interview
First, you get an HR screen. This is basically to make sure you know the key words of the position and are not a total lackwit. If that passes, you get a panel interview from two or three people plus the hiring manager. Usually this will be someone on your team, your new boss, and some business partners or stakeholders. Once you pass that, you wait and wait and wait and eventually you get an offer letter.
