I went through 4 steps for the site merchandiser job: online statistic basics test, phone interview round 1 with HR, phone interview round 2 with manager, on-site interview of 4 rounds which lasts more than 4 hours with different interviewers.
The on-site one is at French headquarter at Clichy.
1. With an associate vendor manager to check excel skills: nothing advanced or even intermediate has been tested, only subtotal is necessary in this case (no VLookups) just pay attention to the keyboard (I use US keyboard but they provide me French one, which costs me much time to find many things.......)
2. with a HR manager
2. with a vendor manager
4. with a supply chain manager
70% in French and 30% in English.
In same room, with 2 15-mins pauses.
You'd better justify EVERYTHING you say with exact data. Details required beyond your inmagination.
I shall say it's basically a quite rewarding experience and you can definitely learn a lot ---- on which aspects Amazon does far more gorgeously than you perceive. I was afraid that my French level may cast obstacles before the interview but it's not. It's the way you think and convey your ideas the most important.
I don't know the final result yet. But yes or no, I recommend interviewing on-site with Amazon!
