This was my second interview experience with Amazon, and once again, it was terrible. The interviewer lacked basic English comprehension, repeatedly asked questions I had already answered—both behavioral and technical—and gave irrelevant hints. They expected rigid, textbook responses rather than evaluating my actual knowledge.
Even worse, when I asked very specific questions about the company, they responded with completely unrelated answers, further proving their lack of English proficiency. To add to the mess, the American interviewer who was supposed to lead the session, according to the scheduling details, remained silent with their camera off the entire time. The process felt disorganized, frustrating, and completely unprofessional.
I have not had such a bad experience with other tech companies. Given Amazon's claims of being the 'best employer on earth' and its commitment to 'hiring and developing the best,' this experience was beyond disappointing. Very ironically, they are unable to follow their own principles. I suggest looking elsewhere when applying.
