The SDE interview was a thorough and challenging experience. It started with coding problems that tested my algorithmic skills and ability to write clean, efficient code. Then, I was asked system design questions to assess my understanding of building scalable applications and architectures. The interview also included behavioral questions to gauge my teamwork, communication skills, and how I handle pressure. Throughout, I focused on explaining my thought process clearly, discussing trade-offs, and staying calm under pressure. The feedback was constructive, and overall, it was a valuable learning experience.

Question 1
Design a URL shortening service like bit.ly. How would you approach this problem?
I received an Online Assessment (OA) invitation from Amazon. The assessment consisted of two coding questions of medium to hard difficulty, focusing on data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving skills. The questions required efficient solutions with optimized time and space complexity. After the OA, shortlisted candidates typically proceed to one or more technical interview rounds covering coding, system design, and behavioral questions based on Amazon's Leadership Principles.
Applied online via career site, received OA link within 2 days and cleared it, Round 1- DSA, Round-2 DSA, Round 3- System Design, Round 4- Mixed Technical Discussion and Behavioral.
