I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon in Jul 2010
Interview
A jumbled mess. Amazon treats recruiting like a tax. The recruiter was disorganized and when told I wasn't getting an offer he (1) did not remeber my name and expressed he may have confused me with someone else when telling me the results and (2) expressed it as a positive by telling me I was 'off the hook' for that role. Last, they offer no feedback so it is impossible to know why they don't make an offer. I suspect I was overqualified for the role but cannot be sure which is incredibly frustrating.
