Contacted via LinkedIn by a Sourcer. Sent assessment - interviewed with hiring manager - then 5 hour interview with 4 people. 5 Days to get feedback. Positive all the way until the end. I don't think they hire experienced - or over 50 for their roles. Everything was positive until they saw my age.

Question 1
The same questions were asked by 5 people. I only had 3 questions - just asked by several people. Tell me about a time you had to make a decision without authority - tell me about a time you designed something new - Tell me about a time you had to take ownership.
This was for a contract position. I was contacted by a 3rd party recruiter, then was setup with and interview quick with the AWS team, It was just 1 step, 30 minute interview with Senior Recruiter. just 1 zoom call, got the offer the following week and started 3 weeks after that.

At onset, was referred to an open role, applied and was selected for an initial screen from a recruiter. Had heard the interview process was difficult and needed to be prepared. Really need to understand the culture and core competencies of Amazon.
