I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Interview was a phone screening. We talked about the role and some ideas I had for the role. Then she asked a lot of data/entry questions that had absolutely nothing to do with the job role whatsoever. Mostly canned responses that insulted me and my time. Since we went over the 1-hour limit they allowed me 15 minutes to ask questions.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (London, England) in Nov 2024
Interview
It was very long, corporate (as expected), and difficult. A huge time investment (12+ hours) to receive zero feedback. That was 'company policy'. I think the process is designed to find people who suit that corporate environment, but I found that wasn't for me!
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2021
Interview
6 back to back interviews with various team members who wrote down every single word I said. Did not engage with me beyond stiff questions. Following the interviews, the recruiter sent an auto mail said I was not selected and did not respond when I asked for feedback.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Feb 2020
Interview
It was not a pleasant experience. Some interviewers were extremely jaded or going by the books so much they forgot to be human. The star method is quite painful to apply and some interviewers really go by it step by step. There is no way you can be yourself. I would recommend building a completely new personality that would match with the star method so you can hope to please the interviewers
