      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at ADP (Raleigh, NC) in Sept 2013

      Interview

I applied online through LinkedIn and was contacted by a recruiter later that day. She set up a phone call with me to talk more about the position. It was more of a phone screening/interview where she asked basic questions about my resume, background and "what motivates me." At the end she recommended I have an interview with the RVP the next week. She sent me an email confirmation with the time and tips for the interview- Don't ignore these because they do take them seriously! When I arrived at the office there was no front desk- which threw me off! I had to call the rvp's assistant on the phone using a list they had out front. The RVP met me in the lobby to bring me back to his office. He was super friendly and outgoing- easy to talk to but a little overwhelming if you're not expecting that! He asked me more basics- "Tell me about your background," "What motivates you," "Tell me about a time when you had to overcome adversity." At the end, make sure you bring out your written down questions to ask. He literally told me he was looking for them after I had pulled them out. In the end I walked away knowing that I hadn't answered the questions the best way possible. Though I didn't do it- a contact at the company told me that if I really wanted the job I should be professionally persistent. Call back the next day to tell the RVP I really wanted the job and thought I would do well. Call back the day after that to say the same thing etc. I did not follow his advice soon enough and was emailed a generic "thank you for applying" email. Overall a really great, respectable company and a great experience with the interview, but you have to really be on your A game and want it!

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at ADP (Irvine, CA) in May 2025

      Interview

The qualifying call is standard, and then they want you to attend an in-person meeting with around 5 reps and shadow if you move on to the next round. Great experience, and everyone was really nice!

      Question 1

One of the things they asked is to tell them something you could teach them to see if you're able to sell it to them.

      Outside Sales Representative Interview

      22 Aug 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Kendall, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Kendall, FL) in Jul 2024

      Interview

intense and brutal for no reason. The first round of interviews is a 30 minute conversation with the recruiter. The second round interview will be with the vice president and some of the sales manager. They were 45 minutes late to my interview, only for me to find out that I was never on their schedule. So the people that I prepared to interview with from the email were not the ones who interviewed me. Extremely unprofessional and unprepared third rounds of interview, you will be on the field with a sales consultant for the first four hours, uncompensated. You will visit some of their accounts with them and then come back to the headquarters to do an hour and a half interview with the vice president and some of the sales managers. Then they will conduct a role-play with you. Don’t sweat it, they understand that this is an entry-level job and you have no prior experience. my best tip is to be prepared to have pushback. The point is not to close the deal but to ask the right questions. Strongly advise to be prepared and do not read off of a paper, only bring your questions. after my interview, they told me that they would get back to me by The next day with their decision. It took them two weeks to email me their decision after a week of chasing them down for an answer. Extremely unprofessional and so disappointed by this company. The other reviews on glassdoor really matched up to the vibe of the office.
