A day in the life of… Tochi Ugo-Beke, Product Specialist Tochi was born in Lagos, Nigeria but moved to Cambridge when he was 13 years old. He has a degree in Geology and a Masters in Petroleum Geoscience. Tochi started off his professional career at Oando Energy Resources and now works as a Product Specialist at Vortexa. Prior to joining Vortexa, Tochi worked at Morgan Stanley as a Commodity Structurer where he priced and executed trades in oil, gas and electricity markets. Fun fact: Tochi has spent 30 days mapping imbricates in the Scottish Highlands.
A day in the life of… Holden Turney, Senior Solutions Architect I’m from Louisville, Kentucky and studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Kentucky. I graduated during COVID and found refuge in Carbondale, CO where I spent my days skiing, running, biking, and hiking. In 2022, I moved to Boston, MA with Woodmac and at the start of 2024 I moved to New York City to take the Senior Solutions Architect role with Vortexa. During college, I started working at Genscape and focused on training neural networks to monitor refinery units. After completing school, I joined Wood Mackenzie as Research Analyst covering products and research across oil storage, transportation, and refining. Fun fact: I trained for 8 months for a gravel bike race across the desert in Colorado and Utah. It was canceled the night before for rain.
A day in the life of… Miko Tan, LNG Analyst Miko is an LNG Analyst based in Singapore. Her career path has been quite a unique one – after graduating with a Materials Engineering degree from the National University of Singapore, she went on to become a high school science teacher for 4 years, then a data analyst at financial services company Bloomberg for 5 years, working on data management projects in renewable energy and LNG. Prior to joining the company, Miko worked at financial services and media company Bloomberg as a data analyst. Fun fact: I watch football and am an Arsenal fan. Come on you Gunners!

A day in the life of… James Goodwin, Sales Director James works as a Sales Director in our London office. Prior to Vortexa James background has been in financial services, spending the first 6 years of his career at London Stock Exchange Group. In the last few years he has then worked for two Fintech companies helping them scale and enter into new client segments. Fun fact: ‘I’ve taken part in a number of obstacle course races, the longest one being over 20 miles and having 200 obstacles!’
A day in the life of… Haryati Othman, Customer Success Manager Haryati is as a Customer Success Manager at Vortexa, based in our Singapore office. Prior to joining Vortexa, Haryati worked at K3 as an Enterprise Customer Success Manager. Fun fact: 'My heritage is a unique fusion of Malay, Chinese, and Pakistani roots. What’s even more fascinating is that my children embody an exquisite blend of these cultures, with Japanese and Ceylonese influences added into the mix!'
Q & A with Troy Gungor, Product Specialist New Yorker born and raised, with a background in Brokering at Tradition and Analysis/Trading at SMBC. A day in the life of… Iryna Kostiuk, Senior Business Development Representative Iryna is a Senior Business Development Representative (BDR) at Vortexa based in London, with four years of experience within SaaS companies. Currently Iryna is setting up the foundations of the BDR role at Vortexa. Outside of work, Iryna enjoys reading, baking, and dreams of one day owning a Westland Terrier. Before joining the company, Iryna worked as a BDR in a MarTech SaaS company in London. Fun fact: Iryna holds a Master’s degree in law and spent a year working as a paralegal. However, she made the decision to pivot to sales and has never looked back.
