App Leaders š is our list of the top individuals who are driving growth and change in the global app industry. š We are happy to include Eran Friedman, Co-Founder & CTO at Singular. Eran is Singularās co-founder and chief technology officer. Eran has an extensive background in building and scaling core technology infrastructures, leading innovation, technology, and core product development. In May 2019, Eran was recognized by Juniper Research as one of āDigital Advertisingās Movers and Shakersā in a report on digital advertising, fraud, and AI. "Two things that come to mind are how marketers can adapt to all the privacy shifts, whether SKAdNetwork or Android Privacy Sandbox ā finding that balance between respecting consumer privacy while allowing marketers to understand which messages and campaigns resonate with their target audience. The second would be AI technology, particularly generative AI and its role in improving app development, user experience, and the overall growth trajectory of an app." More on Eran š https://lnkd.in/d-KBieYR
John's Future of Work: "Iāve worked remotely for about a decade and really couldnāt work any other way, so I guess Covid normalized what I was already doing. Part of that is because Iām a consultant with multiple clients in addition to contributing to Forbes, so it just works better. And part of it is because time not spent commuting can be spent getting more done ⦠or taking a morning walk to get invigorated for the day. That said, offsites, conferences, and other in-person meetings are really important for the deep, productive relationships that drive better innovation and collaboration, so Iām happy that weāre starting to adopt ways of working that incorporate both remote and in-person. For me, the good thing that came out of the crazy few years weāve had is an appreciation for the fact that different people work best in different ways, and thatās OK. A good team ā and a smart company ā maximizes the harmonious output of multiple people working to their top capacity in ways that match their temperament and personalities. I think weāve gotten much better at that since 2020".
Ligita's Future of Work: āLet me tell you how I found an additional 15 hours in my weekā sounds like the beginning of some life hack, but it isnāt. When Singular bravely marched into the āfuture of workā during the covid-19 pandemic by allowing itās employees to work remotely, I quit my part-time job: commuting. Claiming back 15 hours from being sandwiched in-between sweaty, grumpy commuters on a train thatās always late, has been life changing. Most importantly, the majority of those 15 hours has remained free to allocate to whatever else thatās important outside of work: family, the home, friends, hobbies and above all self-care. Itās meant that I could make the dream of living in the countryside a reality and live where I truly feel happy. Monday-Friday used to feel like it was āwork to liveā, remote working is definitely of the ālive to workā variety. The time claimed back from commuting and my quiet home office have become sacred spaces in my life that Iām so grateful for and am now fiercely protective of. They are what let me live my best life while doing my best work".
Shambhavi's Future of Work: דFor anyone dreaming of a life filled with immense calm and peace, Goa has held a distinct allure for decades because of its rich culture, beautiful beaches and less traffic. I grew up a small-town girl with big dreams and always knew that there would be a day when I would have to leave my beautiful hometown and move to a city to start my professional journey. After graduation, I tried to hold on to whatever little opportunities I could find but ultimately had to move to Bangalore in Feb ā20. However, the company I worked for had layoffs due to the pandemic, and I had to come back to Goa in May ā20. By then, most companies had started remote working. There was always an underlying fear - what happens once the pandemic ends? In 2022, with everything going back to normal, I thought I might have to give up and go back to the city to get an opportunity I really wanted, and thatās when Singular came along. Singular makes it possible to work from anywhere I want- Today I have chosen to work from my terrace and enjoy the weather of this beautiful sunny dayד.
Navin Sharsar's Future of Work: "I was hired at Singular in the middle of 2020 while the pandemic was at its peak and work was just transitioning to virtual. In a couple of months, everything came crashing down on me when my beloved Mother passed away. I immediately returned back to my hometown. I was horrified while imagining that now Iād have to leave my Father alone back home and leave for the city. One day, Singular announced a survey wherein the āfuture of workā the organization would consider and respect oneās choice of working remotely, hybrid, or at the office! This was honestly like a dream come true for me. Massive respect for my organization to allow us this huge flexibility! And today, marks my second year working remotely from my hometown. Iām able to take good care of Dad, help with the daily chores at home, spend time with nature and my friends, do some social service to improve lives in the mountains while performing well at work! Everything seems so balanced, Iāve never been so content in my entire corporate career. Iām grateful to the Global HR Team and my boss".
Yotam's Future of Work: While the whole world was recovering from Covid, And especially the tech industry trying to figure out the whole Working from home trend, Singular took that opportunity to give the employees even more freedom. We call it the āwhatever you wantā attitude. I feel encouraged to work the most suitable way for me: from home, from the office, and often even from abroad. That approach changed how I thought of work. Itās not 9-5 anymore, no traffic jams in the morning, and not even travel only on holidays. I have taken many vacations since joining Singular, where half of the time I was traveling and half working from the most remarkable cities around the globe. The attitude that anyone knows what is best for them is liberating, and I encourage every organization to trust in their own employees and let them have that freedom.
