In celebration of Earth Day, we’re highlighting one of many ways in which PayPal employees are supporting environmental impact in communities around the world, on Earth Day and every day! As a member of the Community Impact Team in Mexico City, Mexico, Héctor Garrido, a Data Scientist at PayPal, recently spent an entire weekend mentoring small business founders during a climate tech hackathon hosted by CIFAR Alliance (Climate Innovation for Adaptation and Resilience). Hector led his team of young environmental innovators to create the concept for a crowdfunding product named DONNA, a fintech-enabled platform designed to empower ecological entrepreneurs to raise funds by leveraging the power of social media and connecting with potential partners.
