We’re pleased to share that the FirstService Relief Fund has expanded to offer temporary financial support for associates facing hardship due to changes in government assistance programs or employment status. The application now includes a special event category for associates impacted by job loss, furlough, or reduced benefits, helping ensure timely access to support when it’s needed most. Established to provide immediate financial assistance following unforeseen disasters or personal hardship, the FirstService Relief Fund is made possible through the support of FirstService Corporation and generous donations from our partners, employees, associates, franchisees, and the community. Each year, associates across all regions—from property teams and support staff to leadership—come together to celebrate Pride Month. Many of our teams support The Trevor Project by participating in Walk-A-Thons to help raise awareness and funds for the vital work they do for LGBTQ+ youth. In addition to the Walk-A-Thons, teams across the company host a variety of Pride events that celebrate inclusion and reinforce our commitment to creating welcoming, supportive communities. Our teams brought the energy with vibrant celebrations, showing that no matter the role or location, every team plays a part in creating a community where everyone belongs. FirstService Residential Prioritizes Mental Health in May and Every Day At FirstService Residential, mental health is a daily priority rooted in genuine care. During Mental Health Awareness Month, associates participated in meaningful activities including a virtual concert with Madette, walking groups, Zumba, guided meditations, and creative mindfulness tools. Our New York team raised over sixteen thousand dollars for NAMI-NYC through NAMIWalks, reflecting the heart and community spirit that define us. Associates have access to ongoing support like Viva well-being insights, LifeWorks and Aetna Resources for Living, the FirstService Relief Fund, and FirstLine, our 24 hour confidential hotline.
