The Bartlett team is currently building its newest facility in Sheffield, IL, which will be called El Camino. This facility will greatly benefit the farmers in the area by creating a shorter commute to sell their corn to. With a truck capacity of up to 600 trucks a day and a commodity capacity of 2.4 million bushels, the team will be able to fill 120 railcars in about 12 hours. The corn will be taken to Bartlett's Monterrey, Mexico, facility for further processing. Learn more about the facility and the process of building a 140-foot, six-bin solid concrete facility by watching the video below.
We're excited to share that Bartlett has officially completed its acquisition of Ceres Global Ag! With this addition, we're expanding our grain merchandising footprint with 13 new facilities across Minnesota, North Dakota, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan, adding approximately 45 million bushels of grain and oilseed storage capacity, including join venture assets. “This is an important moment for Ceres, for Bartlett and for the Savage enterprise as a whole,” said Jeff Roberts, President and CEO of Savage. “This acquisition represents another step forward in our strategy to strengthen our agriculture business and broaden the value we deliver to customers across North America. The Ceres team and its leadership have an outstanding track record, and we’re looking forward to building on that within the Savage portfolio.” “Ceres fits naturally with Bartlett in terms of people, assets and vision,” said Bob Knief, Executive Director at Bartlett. “We’re excited to grow our capabilities, expand our reach, and deliver even greater value to our grower and customer partners in the years to come.” Welcome to the team, Ceres!
