Cons
HR appears ineffective, and the company suffers from far too many middle managers and administrative roles, creating a top-heavy organization. There is a strong culture of meetings for the sake of meetings, with many managers spending most of their day on Microsoft Teams rather than adding meaningful value or supporting their teams. Several managers rarely leave their offices and seem to manage departments almost exclusively through SAP reports, spreadsheets, and dashboards, with little engagement in the day-to-day realities of the people and products they oversee. Leadership feels heavily focused on shareholder reporting and short-term financial targets rather than building a healthy, sustainable company. The CEO comes across as more of a salesperson and cheerleader than a hands-on leader, prioritizing appearances and messaging while the company experiences hiring freezes, downsizing, and declining morale. There also appears to be little appetite for dissenting opinions, with leadership preferring agreement over constructive challenge. One of the company's biggest problems is the loss of institutional knowledge. Many of the experienced employees who understood the legacy products have been let go or moved on, leaving critical expertise behind. Decisions are increasingly made by people who have limited technical or product knowledge but are fluent in corporate buzzwords and management presentations. Once you look beneath the surface, it becomes apparent that the company is not nearly as well-run as it appears externally. There is a noticeable disconnect between executive messaging and the operational reality experienced by employees. Company culture is virtually non-existent. Any attempts to create one feel forced and artificial rather than genuine. Many employees in the Victoria office appear to be simply waiting for retirement or a better opportunity elsewhere. Morale is low, engagement is lacking, and loyalty is neither rewarded nor inspired.
