Pros

It is a very stable company. It is easy to work along with Japanese staff. They are always polite to you.

Cons

If you are a female staff , you don’t have a room to be promoted in this company. For global business process department/functions, there are limited number of female staff can be sit in as leadership position. Please remember it is a Japanese company, ladies are not important there. This company purchase world class logistics systems and software, but they don’t know how to manage it. Global headquarter for business process management always makes things very complicated and asked operation to read huge piles of user manuals. They don’t have direction at all. They invest a lot in buying systems for example business intelligence software or artificial intelligence but people are not supportive for operation. It is meaningless to implement so many systems in the same time without proper planning. Global head quarter never listen to operation feedback, don’t even try to voice out, the speaker will be turned mute. If you would like to work on logistics operation, it is not a good place for developing career, You will face a lot of data input or internal billing issues everyday. However, this is Logistics company, they are not focusing in logistics. Operation is the core business but they are blamed to be company burden. People are arrogant and non supportive within the global BPM team even the junior staff. There are no knowledge sharing session and balance of work within team members. Manager hold the information for climbing to next level of career only. No discipline management within the company. People are sleeping or eating. If you are knowledgeable and humble person, please don’t go.

Pros

official working hour 0900-1730. Has OT compensation mechanism.

Cons

Be punctual - lump sum of late of 20 minutes per year would be recorded in your appraisal review. Be punctual, no transportation is absolutely reliable , right ? No scientific appraisal measurement: The line manager said. You did not meet requirement, He did not allow me to say. Two weeks later, he sacks me , reason : did not meet requirement. No guideline, No standard: Different report has different kinds of format. e.g. font type, font size, no one can give a clear guideline, no body wants to tell you. In a same output result of "XXX letter", date format varies from header to detail, subject to inline paragraph. Once the task was completed, user can totally disagree with the prior agreement but your supervisors: Senior SA or Line manager allows users's betray two weeks later. Read code, read existing report on yourself. Is it a political issue rather than business issue? Everyone works in a single partition, Whole company is silent (not only happens in IT department, but other departments as well) No one talks, No communication. Everyone talks in hangout only. Is it possible to express conceptual idea? Um....
