Pros

Good exposure Can have work and life balance Can work from home Results based work; nice teammates

Cons

Unclear career path and no development plan No recognition on work. Unclear what the weights are for in the performance review. Unclear what's the effect of the performance review. Sometimes it feels like it doesn't matter if you try your best or just do averagely. There's no rewards scheme as well in case you did well. Depends on the manager but I did experience one where I was always wrong based on his/her perspective (no matter what and even if the actual end client had no issues, for that person, I was still wrong or that the work is never good enough) - It's been like this until that manager has been replaced. This is truly discouraging! Low pay (at least from my end), low increment in salary Does not sponsor on any learning resources (e.g. attend seminars or workshop..I mean, it's also for the benefit of the company) Does not have any regular training to update the skills. There's one more con based on personal experience but I can't say here.

Thank you for reviewing your time with us so far. It’s really great to see you highlight our company culture, people, flexibility and work life balance. We’re proud to have recently invested in a global Talent Development department (L&D), which focuses on training, upskilling and career development. HR have teams across the UK and the US, to support our local business and there is a dedicated HR team for every region, who’s information is available through our communications page. Noting your comment around diversity and inclusion, we see ourselves as a diverse and inclusive environment and we are doing more to promote this. We launched our first UK D&I networking group back in 2018, with plans to promote this and others throughout YouGov globally. Thanks again for your advice, we will do our best to review some of the points you have made, however if you would like to follow up please do get in contact with your local HRBP or line manager.
